Ecorana Environmental is now offering its exciting winter/spring 2014 internships at the T.R.E.E.S Hosting Center in the Maya Mountains of Belize. Internships vary between 2-6 weeks depending on projects and internship requirements and can be extended depending on the student and internship.
The goal of the internship program is to provide interns with hands-on experience in their field of education, research, or employment, and to contribute to education and conservation efforts in Belize. These internships are self-directed yet supervised projects in which a short report is to be written and handed to Ecorana Environmental Ltd at the end of project. Ecorana can offer credited internships but this will need to be discussed with the educational institution where the intern is currently registered. Internship cost is $25 US/day, and this fee includes lodging (tent platform +tent or bunk style cabins), guidance and instruction with use of necessaryequipment, use of allfacilities (kitchen, hot showers, trails, etc.).Depending on the internship, some travel throughout Belize may be required. Normally students will be expected to take care of their own meals, but can pay an additional fee of $10 CAD/day for 3 meals on site when groups are being hosted.Ecorana will be offering a variety of internships at the T.R.E.E.S Hosting Center in the Maya Mountains of Belize (www.treesociety.org).
